Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This policy explains how personal data is processed on silviailvesmusic.com (the "website") and in the newsletter and giveaway run through it.
The controller of your personal data is:
OÜ Cello Events
Registry code 16996711
Suur-Karja tn 18, 10146 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia
Email: info@silviailvesmusic.com
Write to that address with any question about your data or to use your rights.
This policy applies to the website and the newsletter. It does not cover other websites, such as social media pages, that link to or from it; their own privacy policies apply there.
2. What data we process and why
We process only the data we need for each purpose below, and keep it no longer than stated. We do not sell personal data, and we make no decisions about you by automated means alone.
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sending the newsletter | Email address, language, time of signup, the consent text you agreed to; opens and clicks in our emails | Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a); Estonian Information Society Services Act § 103¹ | Until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record of the unsubscription, so we do not email you again |
| Running the giveaway | Email address, time of signup, language | Taking part in the giveaway under its rules, Art. 6(1)(b) | Until the giveaway is over and the prizes are handed over |
| Contacting and rewarding the winners | Name, email address, and any details needed to hand over the tickets | The giveaway rules, Art. 6(1)(b) | Until the giveaway is over and the prizes are handed over |
| Answering your emails | Name, email address, your message | Our legitimate interest in replying, Art. 6(1)(f) | As long as needed to answer, then up to 12 months |
| Protecting the signup form from abuse | A one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address | Our legitimate interest in keeping the form safe, Art. 6(1)(f) | 10 minutes |
| Operating and securing the website | IP address, browser, time and address of the page requested (server logs) | Our legitimate interest in a working, secure website, Art. 6(1)(f) | Kept by our hosting provider, which deletes the log files when they reach its size limit |
| Showing the website's fonts (Adobe Fonts) | IP address (needed to deliver the font files to your browser; Adobe does not store it), the address of the page and the fonts used | Our legitimate interest in the website looking as it was designed, Art. 6(1)(f) | Adobe does not store your IP address; it keeps only totals of font use |
Where the legal basis is your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing done before. Where it is our legitimate interest, you can object (section 7).
3. Newsletter and giveaway
When you enter your email address and press "Let me know", you join Silvia Ilves's newsletter. As a thank-you, everyone who joins before 10.10.2026 takes part in the ticket giveaway described in the giveaway rules.
- What we store: your email address, the language of the page, the time of signup and the consent text shown to you, so we can show when and how you agreed.
- Newsletter: we send news about Silvia Ilves's music, concerts and releases through MailerLite. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to us (section 1). MailerLite shows us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked; we use this only as totals, to improve the newsletter.
- Giveaway: after the entry period ends, winners are drawn at random from all entries, as the giveaway rules say. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not remove you from the draw. We contact the winners by email and ask only for what is needed to hand over the tickets.
Giving your email address is voluntary. Without it we cannot send the newsletter or include you in the draw.
4. Cookies
The website does not use cookies or similar technologies to track you: there are no statistics, advertising or session-recording tools on it. The font service (Adobe Fonts, section 5) sets no cookies either. If we add such tools later, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
5. Who receives the data
We use the service providers below. Most process data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28); where a provider also uses data for its own purposes, the table says so.
| Provider | What it does for us | Its role | Where the data is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elkdata OÜ (Veebimajutus.ee), Telliskivi 60/2, Tallinn, Estonia | Hosts the website and its database, including signups; keeps server logs | Processor | Estonia |
| MailerLite | Sends the newsletter, stores subscribers | Processor | EU (Google Cloud, Netherlands) |
| Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, with Adobe Inc. (USA) | Adobe Fonts: delivers the font used in headings to your browser; sets no cookies | Independent controller: Adobe also uses totals of font use for its own reporting to the font makers | EU and USA |
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a court or a supervisory authority, and to our accountant or legal advisers, who are bound by confidentiality.
6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
MailerLite and Adobe have parent companies or service locations in the United States, so data may be transferred there. Each transfer rests on one of two safeguards:
- The EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for companies certified under it (the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023).
- The European Commission's standard contractual clauses, with additional safeguards where needed.
You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply (section 1).
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it is wrong or incomplete;
- have it deleted, for example when it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent;
- restrict its use while a question about it is being settled;
- receive it in a common machine-readable format, or have it sent to another controller (data portability);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and at any time to use of your data for direct marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter through the link in any email.
To use a right, write to info@silviailvesmusic.com. We answer within one month; if the request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Using your rights is free of charge.
8. Complaints
If you think we process your data unlawfully, please contact us first, so we can make it right. You also have the right to complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), or to the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work, and to go to court.
9. Children
Under the Estonian Personal Data Protection Act (§ 8), a child under 13 may sign up to the newsletter only with a parent's or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has signed up without it, write to us and we will delete the data.
10. Security
The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to its administration and data is limited to the people who need it and protected by passwords and keys. Our service providers are bound to keep the data secure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always on this page, with its date. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will also tell newsletter subscribers by email.
