Smells Like Teen Spirit
There are stories that can’t simply be put into words. Feelings that need a language of their own, and moments that stay with us far longer than we could imagine. For me, that language is music.
The cello has been my companion, my means of expression and a way of sharing with the world something that comes from deep within. Through it I can speak of beauty and of pain, of fragility and of strength.
“A musician must forget the audience, the critics, technique, everything but the love of music. Then the music itself begins to speak through the performance, and performer and listener can travel together to the composer’s soul and to God.”
Mstislav Rostropovich
